The Art of Agriculture is an independent publication founded in 2026 by agricultural engineer Mostafa Abdel Hamid. We publish practical, field-tested guides on soil health, regenerative farming, market gardening, homesteading, and the technology quietly reshaping modern agriculture.

We are not a lifestyle magazine and we are not a technical journal. We sit in the middle: rigorous enough to be trusted by working farmers, plain enough to be useful to gardeners and first-year homesteaders.

What makes this publication different

Every article on this site is written and reviewed by our editor, an agricultural engineer, before publication. Where we cite data, we cite the underlying peer-reviewed source or a USDA-NRCS / extension document — not a secondary blog post. Where we share opinions based on lived experience, we say so explicitly.

What we cover — and what we don't

We cover practices, systems and economics on farms and homesteads producing food. We do not cover industrial pesticide marketing, breed-specific hobbyist content, or the political fights around agriculture. If you want a publication that will meet you where the work actually happens, this is it.

The Art of Agriculture is owned and published by Mostafa Abdel Hamid (sole proprietor), working from Cairo, Egypt. There is no parent company, no content network and no third-party syndication: the site is written, edited and maintained by one named person, who is reachable by email and answers reader mail.

How this site is maintained

New guides are published regularly, and existing ones are revisited as research, prices and regulations change. Every article carries its publication date and, where it applies, the date it was last updated, so you can judge how current the advice is. When we get something wrong, we correct it on the page and note the change rather than quietly editing it away.

Drafting tools may assist with structure and language, but no article is published without our editor reading it line by line, checking the numbers and taking responsibility for the advice.
